Local sculptor hosts a cart building party, and supplies the WHEELS!
The Montague Soapbox Races will hold a soapbox cart building party in Turners Falls at the workshop of Joe Landry on Sunday, August 29th from noon to 4:00pm.
The building party is for Racers who need technical assistance putting their cart together. Some of the Race Inspectors and Race Officials will be on hand as well to give professional advice.
Racers should bring whatever they have already completed, as well as all parts and supplies they intend to use, including bolts, screws, nails, wood, concept drawings and tools (very important). Joe Landry has a large supply of bicycle parts and wheels to provide for free. All racers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Only racers who have filled out the application form will be allowed at this build party. Pre-printed forms will be available for those who have not yet signed up (bring cash or a check).
Forms also available online at www.MontagueSoapboxRaces.com or at all Montague libraries, Town Hall Clerk's office and at MCTV Studios, 34 2nd Street, Turners Falls.
