Montague Soapbox Races CANCELED for Sunday, Sept 17

Races will continue in June of 2024

The 2023 Montague Soapbox Races HAVE BEEN CANCELED due to a lack of registered drivers

For the first time in the history of the Montague Soapbox Races, there just weren't enough racers signed up by deadline date. The committee has already started plans for next year and will have an announcement early in the 2024 calendar.

The race committee would like to thank this year's sponsors: Waterworks of Nantucket, Turners Falls Airport, Nova Motorcycles, Montague WebWorks, Hale Custom Signs, Greenfield Savings Banks, and Rueter Foundation Repair.

We would also like to thank the thirteen racers who registered, including Brian Ware from Montague, NEW JERSEY, and Jerry Hoover from Hunlock Creek, PA, as well as the eleven folks from Gill, Greenfield, Millers Falls, Montague, New Salem, Northfield, Orange, Turners Falls, and Worcester. We are working out a special deal for these intrepid speed demons to entice them back for the 2024 season.

If you would like to join the Montague Soabox Race committee to plan for the 2024 season, please fill out the contact form on this site and we'll get right back to you.
