Soapbox Build Party In Turners

Join other racers in Turners to get ideas, parts, and some help

As Sunday, September 19th -- the date of the Montague Soapbox Races -- gets closer and people are working to complete their carts on time, the planners of the derby have organized a soapbox "build party" outside of Nova Motorcycles on 2nd Street in Turners Falls this coming Saturday, August 14th, from 10:00 till noon, where people can come with their carts and get help from experienced builders of motorcycles and soapbox carts.

Bring your cart in whatever shape it currently is in, and any other parts or materials you plan on adding, to the lot outside of Nova and prepare for a morning of creative planning and fun construction.

We will have extra parts on hand, such as metal tubing and bike parts, including a few wheels.

No RSVP is needed, unless you need confirmation of what will be available. Just show up with your stuff and let's see what can be done with it.

If you can't make this event, there is another build party the next day in Greenfield on Sunday August 15th from 11:00 - 1:00 at half Pint Homes in the parking lot behind city hall.
